What is Academic Freedom? An AAUP Primer

This presentation will provide an introduction to Association policy documents on academic freedom, with special emphasis on the joint AAUP–AAC&U 1940 Statement of Principles on Academic Freedom and Tenure. It will also discuss the relationship between academic freedom, tenure, and shared governance.
